The Foundation's Mission
As a tech company in Central Indiana for over 30 years, we admire and have compassion for the resiliency of those in our community who have experienced hardships. As a result of our community’s support and our great success, we have created The SEP Foundation to give back to and support our neighbors who deserve the same opportunity.
Through employee and community engagement activities and a grant-making program, we humbly hope to live out our vision in an impactful and meaningful way.
The SEP Foundation believes everyone in our community should have the opportunity to overcome the barriers and confines of poverty. We use our time, talents and financial resources to help veterans and families experiencing hardships achieve self-sufficiency. In 2019, our three grant recipients include: Horizon House, HVAF and The Last Mile.
Horizon House offers services to help individuals and families overcome the barriers they are facing. We provide a safe place and convenient access to services. These services are ongoing and help create changes in lives, and empower people toward more self-sufficiency.
HVAF of Indiana, Inc. (HVAF) helps homeless veterans return to self-sufficiency and engages at-risk veterans and their families to prevent them from becoming homeless by providing supportive housing, case management, food, hygiene, and clothing; as well as other essential services.
The Last Mile (TLM) was founded in 2010 at San Quentin State Prison to address the societal impact of incarceration as a drain on human and fiscal resources. The program provides computer coding training to prepare its students for release into today’s high-tech environment. TLM’s core belief is that having a job is the key to successful reentry and breaking the cycle of incarceration.
Our Partner Organizations
Our executives have taken the initiative one step further. President and CEO Raman Ohri, COO Traci Dossett and Vice Presidents, Chris Atkinson and Mike Mumau each created a corporate partnership with a non-profit organization of their choosing. The criteria was simple: the charitable organization should have a local presence and work directly with a specific need.
