When you intern with SEP, don’t expect to be going on coffee runs or making copies. An internship with us means a summer of working on real projects alongside professional engineers -- not to mention professional development opportunities, community service days, and plenty of fun social activities throughout the summer. While you will have the opportunity to dive right in, you’ll also be supported by your own mentor and plenty of group activities to ensure a smooth transition into the internship program.
What We're Looking For
What You'll Be Doing
Here's a step-by-step guide on what to expect throughout your application process
Step 1 - Career Fair
First, you'll meet us at your Career Fair. We'll review your resume and you can sign up for an on campus interview.
Step 2 - Interview
Next, get ready for a 90 minute interview. We will learn more about you - what you’re passionate about, what you’re good at, what you’re looking for - and you will tackle a programming challenge.
Step 3 - Application
After your interview you’ll receive an application to complete and send back to us. The application is your chance to tell us “I’m interested!”
Step 4 - Decisions
Within a few weeks, we’ll either contact you with an offer or respectfully part ways.
Application Process Tips
“From the research I did on SEP before I interviewed, everyone at SEP seemed to really like the variety of the projects they worked on. Some said it was almost like having a different job every 5 years. This freshness was definitely appealing to me.”Elliot Yesmunt, IUPUI
“I knew that I wanted to work for SEP when I went to one of their info sessions at Rose-Hulman. I liked everything I saw during their presentation, and I visited them at the career fair and liked what I saw even more. I’m so glad I attended their session, because I ended up working at this awesome company!”Katrina Kerrick, Rose-Hulman
“I chose to return to SEP for my 5th internship with the company because they have a great atmosphere where people are open to helping others, questions are encouraged, and learning is a priority. I find that every year I’m at SEP, they offer new experiences and learning opportunities due to the variety of projects and team members.”Joe Coy, Purdue University
