SEP featured at Agile2009 in Chicago

August 24, 2009

Chris Shinkle, Development Manager at SEP will be presenting at the Agile 2009 Conference in Chicago this week. Agile 2009 is an international conference about techniques and technologies, attitudes, and policies, research and first-hand experience, from both the management and technical side of agile software development. The conference is scheduled to have approximately 1,500 attendees from all over the world.

Shinkle will give an experience report on “Kanban Adoption at SEP” on the Agile Adoption stage.

“SEP has benefited from applying Lean thinking and kanban systems in numerous areas,” said Shinkle. “The quality of software produced is significantly higher. They have allowed us to be more predictable which allows us to make better promises to our clients. We can better predict when work will be completed, and the level of quality found in the delivered software. It has changed the way in which we think and manage projects.”

Shinkle explains that using a kanban system has allowed SEP to manage objectively through data as opposed to more traditional management techniques.

SEP’s experience report was also featured at the 2009 Lean & Kanban Conference in Miami.
